I demand a recount!

No, it's not about the school ballot measure.  As always, it's all about ME!

I've started counting calories (I should probably say "counting" because some of my intake gets swept under the proverbial carpet. oops!).  The scale wasn't budging and my bottom was pudging, so I thought - let's do a 1970's flashback and hit the calorie counting books!  It has worked for years, so why not give it a shot.  I don't have to buy special food or attend meetings or kick my own hiney.  I just have to make sure that my income and outgo are in balance.  It's simple in theory, but sounded tedious.  But I really want to be able to see my toes even when standing!  (no, it's not that bad)

Off to the internet for help.

Thanks to EverydayHealth.com and their FREE calorie counting/tracking tool, it's not half so daunting as I thought it might be!  They have a wonderful archive of foods and their caloric worth (and other nutritional info) and a chart to determine what your caloric intake should be to lose (or maintain or gain) at a healthy pace.  I'm on day three and thrilled with this site, it's tools (also has a weight and measurement tracker) and article links.

The scale still hasn't moved, but I'm only supposed to be losing a pound a week.  That probably won't show up for, say, 4 more days.

Wish me luck!
